Review: Feral Mouth, Killamonjambo and La Brass Banda – Norwich Arts Centre, 17/04/2015.

Tonight, I was kind of apprehensive about this show, it’s not everyday you’re invited to see a nine piece Bavarian brass band play, but I am sure as hell now glad I was, with some excellent support from Feral Mouth and Killamonjambo thrown into the mix, La Brass Banda certainly a brought a unique sound to these shores, the first show of the 8 date UK tour being in Norwich.

Feral Mouth have some amazing country and folk styles going on, and that certainly showed live tonight as support, with some grooves that begun the night well, the band have a great live sound that really showed here on stage. Certainly a band to check out if you like a bluegrass acoustic sound, Feral Mouth are certainly a band to see live, you will not be able to stand still listening to him and excellent choice of support for tonight.

Killamonjambo, were certainly a band who looked like they were having a party on stage, and with the news that they are now signed to a record label, which distributes through Sony, this band are certainly on the road to going places, and with a high energy live show like this, it certainly is a good decision to sign this band, with huge sounds that really made this show really get going, big saxophones and excellent live vocals set this band apart.

Bavarian brass band, La Brass Banda were not as I expected really as they came on stage, barefeet wearing lederhosen and T-Shirts, you can tell this band are a lot of fun to watch and this set certainly proved with some great grooves and melodies, but also a great way with an audience, even though their songs are sung in Bavarian, the way this band can bring an audience into their show and allow the participation they do is tremendous, and certainly worth seeing on this tour around the UK.

A great show collectively, the bands tonight really gave a display of different genres and styles, it was a treat to the eyes and ears, if you can get to a show of some of these bands, do it, you will not regret it, you will find it impossible not to dance at this show – one of the best shows I’ve seen with a great crowd that really made this show excellent to see.

9/10.
