Last Night, The Early November brought their headlining tour to Norwich, with support from You Blew It! and A Great Big Pile Of Leaves. Epic Studios is a very good venue, and was terrific last night for a really great tour, the bands perfectly complimenting one another.
A Great Big Pile Of Leaves have some great grooves and melodies, you might have to be hard of hearing not to enjoy, and these were displayed so well tonight, with a great opening set from the band. This was an incredible enjoyable set, and certainly a good way to introduce yourself to the UK, as the band tour the country for the first time.
You Blew It! Are good live as shown by their set supporting Real Friends last year, and that didn’t change tonight at all with some big guitar riffs and some great vocals, the band is beginning to really go places and it’s certainly no bad thing. You Blew It! Certainly are a great sounding band live and certainly worth going to see on this tour, House Address being a highlight once again.
The Early November have been away for a while, and are returning with their new album next month, Imbue, which comes out on May 12th through Rise Records, and after tonight I’m sure there is a lot to look forward to, Narrow Mouth, one of the new album tracks they played live tonight, had some great riffs and some good hooks. Highlights of the set were the original version of Sunday Drive, Digital Age and Baby Blue however the energy and the sound make it seem like this band have been gone too long.
There is a huge amount of talent on this tour, that is certainly worth giving a listen, The Early November’s set covers most of their records and is played well live, the opening band, A Great Big Pile Of Leaves is certainly a band I’m glad I got to watch and You Blew It! Play well here, a great show altogether.
