Review: Less Deceived – Average Songs About The Best Days Of Our Lives EP.

Hull is a tough place to come from, but one of the better things about the place is the music made there, and Less Decieved have made a great EP, which they released on the 6th of October through Disillusioned Records. The EP is launched as they play with Brawlers and Allusondrugs in their hometown on the 10th.

Less Deceived have made an EP with a great energy and bounce to it throughout the record and it makes for a fun record to listen to and will go down live incredibly well, particularly tracks such as My Main Weakness Is How Weak I Am. The writing emotionally is miserable, but you’ll learn to love it as you get deeper into the record, if you like pop punk you’ll love this.

The energy comes from the guitars on this record throughout, giving these tracks life, especially tracks such as You’ve Heard This Before, Right? The guitars really come into their own and really give this EP a great end to it, but this shows throughout, I’ll Burn You Some CD’s makes for some great guitar work – the drum work is subtle but gives a good foundation to the EP, The vocals are strong too – this band work together incredibly well on record.

Average Songs About The Best Days Of Our Lives, not only has some of my new favourite artwork, but some excellent tracks on this record that are full of energy and really show what this band do best. And it will be worth a listen live – I just really like this EP. Highlights for me on this EP are I Used To Own A Crass T Shirt, You’ve Heard This Before, Right? And My Main Weakness Is How Weak I Am. Go listen to this EP right now, you will be a better person for it.

8/10.
