Review: Raise Your Fall – Echoes EP.

Echoes cover artHailing from Modena, Italy, Raise Your fall recently released their EP, Echoes and their new single Come Closer which you can see the video for here. With a plethora of bands hailing from the country including Over and Just For Kicks, Raise Your Fall certainly have great company and some great songs.

Bordini’s and the male vocals the band add supporting her sound really good from the start, particularly on first single Come Closer, which is a perfect choice, as it showcases the best of what this band do – high energy melodies and powerful vocals that work together really well from the beginning of Echoes.

Some great riffs and huge drum beats run rampant through this record bringing a nice attitude on this EP, 4AM for example really highlights the guitarists work and the drum runs on this tracks work brilliantly with the rest of the band. This combined with the vocals work really incredibly well and some strong writing too – there’s some pretty nice choruses here and tracks you can feel the emotion there which sometimes gets lost recorded but caught on Echoes it comes across perfectly.

Echoes is a powerful record with huge melodies and some awesome collaborative vocals throughout that combined with the musicians in this band, makes for a great listen. Highlights for me on this record are 4 AM, Come Closer and Drowning – this EP has the pace and that feistiness you need for pop punk and it sounds awesome. Raise Your Fall hold their own on this record with ease, maybe it needs a little refining in places, but it’s a great listen.

8/10.
