Review: Omaha – Young Hearts.

OMAHAYOUNGHEARTSARTWORKOmaha release their EP, Young Hearts today. The band who follow up from their record Chapters released last year return with their pop rock sound which has been gaining attention from some very good places. You can give first single Remember a listen now through the band’s Youtube.

The band really bring the energy throughout this EP, with a breakneck pace that works incredibly well for them. The band work well together throughout this record with some solid guitar work that really entertwine well and drumwork that is reminiscent of bands such as You Me At Six in places.

The vocals are strong and the choruses are stronger, track Remember is the perfect song for a first single as it get stucks in your head pretty quickly – the song is packed with energy anyway, but the song really picks up a level and that also shows on tracks such as Wrong, But So Right. The band really have some really strong writing that you want to sing along to, Young Hearts has an incredible amount of potential and it shows throughout this EP.

Omaha have made a hell of a return with Young Hearts. Full of huge melodies that live will get a crowd moving and choruses that will make the crowd sing, Omaha certainly have got an excellent record here. Highlights for me are Remember, Lowest Of The Low and Wrong But So Right however this whole record is pretty strong and worth a listen if you like british rock music – in fact Omaha should be your new favourite band.

8/10.
