Review: Indigo Bones – Self Titled EP.

Released this Friday, Indigo Bones release their new self titled record. Made up of four tracks the Brit Garage Rock trio release their debut and it is some debut. You can find out more about the trio through the band’s Facebook page here.

The band make real rock tunes on this EP, with huge riffs that unleash a barrage of energy from the beginning of the record. Vertical Sleep opens this album with feisty guitar work that works with the drum runs and that energy flows on throughout this album, getting better and better as it goes on.

The wailing and raw vocals are packed with attitude and the lyrics are delivered with punch throughout the self titled, particularly on my particular favourite, Delicate where those vocals are really highlighted with a huge hook of a chorus. This track is followed by Silver Nosebleeds which has some fantastic guitar work and even better vocals that work together.

A record packed filled with energy, Indigo Bones really have some awesome tracks here that if you like big rock tunes, this is the EP for you. Some huge hooks and guitar work that really brings this record to life, Indigo Bones begin to show what they can do on this EP. Highlights for me are Delicate and Silver Nosebleeds, but there really isn’t weak track on this record, well worth a listen.

8/10.
